Man Arrested After Allegedly Assaulting Wife

ST. CLOUD - A man is in jail after reportedly trying to strangle his wife.

Police were called to the 100 block of 24th Avenue North on Thursday at about 10:15 p.m.

The 50 year old woman reported being assaulted by 51 year-old Luther Berryhill of St. Cloud. She received minor injuries and refused an ambulance.

Berryhill was arrested at the scene.

He was taken to Stearns County Jail where he is being held on charges of Domestic Assault by strangulation and interference with a 911 call.
