Local Rice Tree Farm Is A Family Affair [VIDEO]

RICE -- A lack of December snow may turn off your Christmas spirit, but Floyd Hinkemeyer says during the warm weather is the best time to buy your Christmas tree.

He owns Hinkemeyer Christmas Tree Farm out of Rice with his wife, Janice Hinkemeyer.

They started the tree farm in 1971, and since then it has been a family affair.

Hinkemeyer says guests can cut down their own tree or choose one from a precut selection.

His wife Janice hand crafts all of the decorations that are sold at the farm. She says making floral decorations is her hobby.
