Katherine J. Connor, Long Prairie, 80

September 23, 1933 – July 13, 2014

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, July 17, 2014 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Long Prairie for Katherine J. Connor, age 80, of Long Prairie who passed away Sunday at the CentraCare Health Systems-Long Prairie. Fr. Omar Guanchez will officiate and burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Long Prairie. Family and friends may call two hours prior to the service with the Catholic Women praying the rosary at 12 noon. Arrangements by the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home – Stein Chapel in Long Prairie.
Katherine Juletta Sandy was born September 23, 1933 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to George and Irene (Wruck) Sandy. She grew up near St. Cloud and later moved with her family to Long Prairie. She married Eugene Connor on July 3, 1956 at St. Mary’s in Long Prairie. Together they operated a dairy farm near Long Prairie.

Katherine was a member of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, watching and feeding the birds, and most of all spending time with her family.

Katherine is survived by her children, Kristie (Jeffrey) Kuhlmann, Long Prairie; Steven Connor, Sartell, MN; Daniel (Angela) Connor, Long Prairie; Laurie (Donavon) Sturgeon, Redwood Falls, MN; and Michelle (Brent) Bartels, Long Prairie; siblings, Corie (Glen) Langbehn, Lafayette, MN; Willinaette (Duane) Spychalla, Browerville; Delano (Agnes) Sandy, Granite Falls, MN; John Henry (Rita) Sandy, Alabama; and Myrn (Dwight) Hillmer, Owatonna; also 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eugene, infant son Roger, brothers George, Jr., Patrick and Virgil, and sisters Weltha and Milesene.

Casket bearers will be Devin Kuhlman, Cameron Kuhlmann, Jacob Bartels, Colton Bartels, Austin Sunder, and Sebastian Sunder.
