Kimball (MinnesotaNow)- At least one person was killed in a head-on crash involving a car and semi on a central Minnesota highway Thursday.

Preliminary information released by the State Patrol says first responders were called to the deadly collision shortly before 5:30 Thursday afternoon. 

One passenger was also involved in the fatality

At Least One Minnesotan Killed in Head-on Crash Between Car & Semi on Hwy. 55

The car and semi collided on Hwy. 55 about 20 miles south of St. Cloud. The semi was heading east and the car was westbound on the two-lane highway, the state crash report says. 

A 63-year-old woman from Annandale, MN was driving the car and the State Patrol described the truck driver as a 57-year-old Hastings man. A 46-year-old man from South St. Paul was riding in the pick-up truck. 

The names and conditions of the drivers and passenger are set to be released on Friday afternoon. 

More information about the deadly crash is also set to be disclosed Friday afternoon.
