Two Days Of Music Await At The 2026 Pierz Freedom Fest
A local music festival, after testing the waters this year with two days of music, will continue with two days of entertainment for 2026. Pierz Freedom Fest announced last week that they would be running it back in 2026 with the music festival, in the same place it was this year, at the Morrison County Fairgrounds.
2025 Was A Year Of Firsts For Volunteers
Even though Pierz Freedom Fest has been going on as a Pierz Area Commercial Club event for the last decade plus, 2025 was a year of firsts for many of the volunteers and business owners that make the annual music festival so successful. In 2025, the music festival expanded to two days and switched venues for the event. Two big changes that had some worrying about how the event would go.
From my standpoint, the festival went off great, just think of all the things when you are putting on an event this large that CAN go wrong, but from the parking lot to the easy entrance, all the way to the campgrounds, people seemed very happy, and had a good time.
A Glance At 2025's Pierz Freedom Fest
The event added a rock night Friday night with Night Ranger headlining, it set the tone for the rest of the weekend, with a Country day planned for Saturday, with the headliner being Dylan Scott.
By all accounts, and I don't have any insider information, Saturday saw a big crowd, some have estimated at between 4,000 and 4,500 people.
Who's Coming In 2026?
That's a million-dollar question, as no acts have been announced yet by the festival, but that should be coming in the next few weeks. If I had to guess, I would think there would again be a Rock night Friday, especially with Lakes Jam foregoing a 'Rock' night, and then Country on Saturday.
The dates to leave open on your calendar for 2026 are July 17th and 18th.

I've put out some guesses as to who could be asked to play, but it's all guessing at this point until we hear it from Pierz Freedom Fest.
