The Lake Superior Marine Museum Association is offering a once-in-a-lifetime chance to cruise the Great Lakes aboard a 1,000-foot laker! The Edwin H. Gott will set sail with the winner and three guests on a round-trip voyage on Lake Superior.

The trip was donated as a raffle item by Great Lakes Fleet/CN/Key Lakes, Inc. Proceeds from the raffle will support the Lake Superior Marine Museum Association. They are a nonprofit corporation in the Twin Ports that was created in 1973. They collect and maintain artifacts relating to the maritime history of Duluth and Superior. LSMMA's mission is to preserve the maritime heritage, fund educational programs and publications, and more.

The winner will be announced at the Gales Of November event that's happening on November 7th and 8th. This year's program observes the 50th anniversary of the Edmund Fitzgerald sinking.

The program features guest speakers, bus tours, a reception, and an auction. You can learn more about the event and purchase tickets on the LSMMA website. The winner of the cruise raffle will be announced at the conclusion of Saturday's Speakers.

What To Expect On A Cruise On A Laker

The winner will have to be flexible, as they are following the shipping schedule. The ship will likely depart from Two Harbors. The trip usually takes 6-7 days and will take place in the 2026 season.

The deadline to enter the raffle drawing is November 1st, 2025.

The Edwin H. Gott is the fastest ship on the Great Lakes, according to my friend and fellow boat enthusiast Vibe With Mike.

YouTuber Pelorus Jack shares some dramatic drone footage of the Gott. Check this out. It would be a memorable trip!
