Gophers’ Tubby Gets Commitment

The Gopher men's basketball team and head coach Tubby Smith received their first commitment for the 2012 recruiting class.  6'6 shooting guard/small forward Wally Ellenson from Rice Lake, Wisconsin verbally committed to playing basketball for the Gophers starting in 2012.

Ellenson is a 3-star recruit according to rivals.com.  Ellenson is considered a 3-point shooter that can dunk.

He made a buzzer beating 3-point basket to defeat St. Cloud Apollo in the Border Battle at Tech High School in January.
