Forest City House Fire Under Investigation

FOREST CITY -- Fire crews were called to the scene of a house fire this (Monday) morning in Meeker County.

The incident happened just before noon at a home near 648th Avenue in Forest City.

The Meeker County Sheriff's Office says the homeowner, Stewart Ruwersma, was outside doing yard work, when he went inside and notice smoke.

Officials say the fire appeared to be contained to one room.

Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
