Extra Seat Belt Patrols to Start in Counties with Most Fatalities
UNDATED - Ten Minnesota counties will be stepping up their efforts to ticket those not wearing seatbelts all through this week.
The Department of Public Safety is adding extra patrols in the counties with the highest number of seatbelt-related deaths and serious injuries.
The DPS says 75% of unbelted traffic deaths occur on Greater Minnesota roads. Stearns County is one of the ten on this list.
The patrol begins today and will last through Sunday, April 8th.
