Central Minnesota coffee shops collaborate for first-ever Cloud Coffee Fest

Six of Central Minnesota’s local coffee shops have joined together to present the region’s first coffee festival, planned for Saturday, Sept. 24, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon), at 203 Cooper Ave N in St. Cloud. Cloud Coffee Fest will showcase some of the most popular coffee drinks from the featured coffee shops, along with bakery goods from Backwards Bread Company of St. Cloud. Participating coffee shops include Cold Press Coffee (Cold Spring), Kinder Coffee Lab (St. Cloud), Korppi Coffee and Bakeshop (St. Cloud), Overlander Coffee Co. (St. Cloud), Reality Roasters (Little Falls) and Second Street Coffee House (Sartell).

Cloud Coffee Fest is free and open to the public. Coffee beverages and baked goods will be available for purchase. The event will offer live music, along with free activities for kids, including a bouncy house and face painting. Classes on different brewing methods will occur throughout the day, along with information about the roasting process. A coffee passport will give attendees a chance to win prizes, too.

“Coffee brings people together, whether it’s for business or with friends or family. Cloud Coffee Fest offers our community an opportunity to gather together to experience the area’s growing coffee culture, and enjoy some fun activities, too,” said Taylor Feero, Operations Director for Kinder Coffee Lab and one of the founding organizers of the event. “We’re excited to co-host this event with so many of the area’s local coffee roasters and coffee shops, as well as Backwards Bread Company.”
