Elouise Janet Hugget, Princeton, 88

July 17, 1925 - June 26, 2014

Elouise Janet Hugget, age 88, of Princeton passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the Princeton Elim Home. Elouise was born on July 17, 1925 in Browerville, MN, the daughter of Emanuel and Edith (Juel) Hoy. She attended school in Clarissa and Browerville and then moved to Butterfield where she graduated.

Elouise was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart Erland Hugget in 1945 in New York City, NY. The couple lived in Butterfield, St. James, Windom and Kenyon before moving to the farm in Princeton. Elouise worked at Fingerhut, Twin Cities Arsenal and Mille Lacs County Family Services. Elouise loved reading and enjoyed baking sweets. She spent time volunteering at the hospital and doing activities with Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where she was a faithful member. She also loved wintering in Arizona with Erland. She will be missed dearly by many.

Elouise is survived by her children, David (Pat) Hugget of Elk River and Diane (Mark) Bassett of Chippewa Falls, WI; and three grandsons, Markus Bassett, Aaron Bassett and Dan Hugget.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Erland; daughter Kathi Hugget; and granddaughter Amanda Hugget.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM on Monday, June 30, 2014, at God's Greater Glory Parish- Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Princeton. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29 at Williams Dingmann Funeral Home from 2-4 PM and will continue at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Oak Knoll Cemetery in Princeton, MN.
