Clerk Hit With Gun During Robbery Attempt

ST. CLOUD - A store clerk was hit over the head with a pistol during an attempted robbery.

St. Cloud police responded to a call from the 10 block of Wilson Avenue on Thursday at about 10 p.m.

Witnesses outside the store say that two men, between 18 and 20 years old, dressed in dark clothing with hoodies, approached the business. The clerk reports one of the men came in, pulled out a pistol and demanded money.

The clerk refused to cooperate and was hit over the head with the gun.

After a brief struggle, the suspect ran out of the store and was last seen running north along Wilson Avenue.

The clerk did not need medical treatment.

No word on what, if anything, was taken. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the St. Cloud Police Department.
