Chance of Strong Storms Wednesday and Thursday

UNDATED - There is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms across the area later this (Wednesday) afternoon and tonight.

Thunderstorms should develop over the eastern Dakotas into western Minnesota , and continue to the east overnight.

The higher severe weather threat will be found across central and southern Minnesota tonight.

The main threat will be large hail and damaging winds, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.  Locally heavy rain will also be possible.

Thunderstorms are possible Thursday into Friday as well.
