The Sartell Sabres and Tech Tigers announced time changes for their high school football games scheduled for Friday. Storms are predicted for the area Friday afternoon and evening.
The Sartell Sabres shook off an 0-3 start to their 2016 season to finish with a 6-4 record. The Sabres won their final five regular-season games and topped Brainerd 35-0 in the opening round of the section playoffs before falling 40-32 to Moorhead in a nail-biter at SJU.
The high school football season ended on Thursday, and this year's first-round playoff matchups were announced on Saturday. Only one St. Cloud-area team will be hosting a game, with the other five teams hitting the road.
The Sabres lost quarterback Brandon Snoberger and running back Derek Stachowski, but coach Scott Hentges says there are players in place capable of stepping up.
