What do you get when you put together a super-soldier, a Norse god, a genius billionaire, two government assassins, and a brilliant scientist with an anger-management problem, all in the hands of Joss Whedon? You get one of the most entertaining comic-book movies ever made.

The Hunger Games was done very well. I found myself getting pretty emotional as I saw Katniss on the big screen struggling to survive. The casting was done perfectly, with each actor embracing their role and making it their own.

Being a fan of Dr. Seuss’ work, I have been looking forward to this movie for some time. I really enjoyed this adaptation and felt it honored the original work nicely.

I have to admit that there is something very appealing about leaving the corporate world behind to become a hippie, at least for a little while. To be able to just forget about bills and work and go swimming or meditate or tend a garden without a schedule or agenda.

While I love Amanda Seyfried as an actress I had a really hard time liking her character in this movie. She’s too manic and obsessed in her pursuit of the villain to be anything but annoying.
