The Gopher men's hockey team, Gopher football team, SCSU women's basketball team, Granite City Lumberjacks, NDSU Bison football team, SJU football team, and Minnesota Timberwolves all checked one in the win column on Saturday, but the Gopher women's basketball team, SCSU men's hockey team, SCSU men's basketball team, St. Cloud Norsemen, St. Cloud adapted soccer team, and Minnesota Wild all came up short. Meanwhile, the Minnesota Vikings return home to U.S. Bank Stadium to host the NFC North-leading Green Bay Packers Sunday.

The Granite City Lumberjacks and Gopher men's basketball teams both earned solid wins on Friday night. The Gopher men's hockey, St. Cloud State women's basketball, and SCSU men's hockey teams all struck out, and the St. Cloud adapted Soccer CI team came up just short in the opening round of the state tournament. Meanwhile, the Gopher, Bison, and Johnnie football teams, Gopher women's basketball, SCSU men's basketball, St. Cloud Norsemen, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Minnesota Wild will suit up on Saturday.

The St. John's University football team scored a last second touchdown to beat Bethel and win the MIAC Championship in Arden Hills. The Gopher men's hockey and basketball teams, Granite City Lumberjacks, Minnesota Wild, and NDSU football team also came out of their Saturday matchups on top. The SCSU men's hockey team, Golden Gopher football team, St. Cloud Norsemen, and Minnesota Timberwolves were not so lucky. Meanwhile the Gopher men's and women's basketball teams are looking to build on their momentum heading into Sunday's games, and the Minnesota Vikings will travel to Los Angeles to face the Chargers in what might just be a do or die matchup.
