SAUK RAPIDS -- Authorities are awaiting the results of autopsy and toxicology reports to determine the cause of death for a man who was found along the Mississippi River Saturday.

Sauk Rapids Police say people in a canoe noticed the man sitting in the same position for an extended period of time.

Police did a welfare check and found 50-year-old Daniel Gedke dead.

There were no signs of trauma or anything suspicious.
