Boston Firm To Study Special Education Spending in District 742

ST. CLOUD -- The St. Cloud Area school board has approved using a Boston firm to study their special education programs.

The study will cost the district $70,000 and will look at ways to curb expenses.

The district has budgeted nearly $26 million on special education next year -- that's more than a quarter of it's overall budget. They're using nearly $9 million from the general fund budget just to cover the special education expenses.
