ST. CLOUD -- The Vex Robotics Excellence Award was given to the Boss Botz team from Boy Scout Troop 15.

More than 30 teams from across the state competed in the Dream It Do It robotics tournament Saturday.

The goal was to get the robot to collect the most bean bags in two minutes. It took 70 qualification rounds before a winner was announced.

The winning team was also named Robot Skills Winner for their bot's ability to score points. This is the second year in a row the Boss Botz team has won the top all-around spot.

Three teams were named Tournament Champions including Volt Thugz and Iron Chargers.

The teams have been asked to compete at the World Championships which are held in California this April. The teams will go head-to-head with some of the world's top teams from 30 countries.
