I am a graduate of St. Cloud State University - Class of 2015. I grew up in the small town of Clarkfield, MN from 1989-2008. I began interning here at Townsquare Media in January of 2014 doing on-air and event stuff. After my internship ended, I continued to linger around the building because I enjoyed doing so (and no one kicked me out). I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time as I was hired on as a full-time reporter for WJON in August 2014, for which I am very grateful. A little about me: I love sports - especially football (I bleed purple and gold), I am a huge nerd about movies, I hate pina coladas and can't stand getting caught in the rain, and my favorite food is steak.

This weekend is a celebration of music as two events are dedicated to the work of The Beach Boys -- Justin Ploof and the Throwbacks at Pioneer Place, and Collective Unconscious at the Paramount Theatre, country music star Rodney Atkins comes to Grand Casino Mille Lacs, the St. Cloud String Quartet teams up with the Central Minnesota Youth Orchestra at the Paramount and the hilarious and award-winning Broadway musical, The Book of Mormon, begins its run at the Orpheum Theatre.
