ALEXANDRIA -- Invasive species have been discovered in another central Minnesota lake.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources says zebra mussels have been discovered in Lake Osakis near Alexandria.

Last week, DNR officials discovered two three-quarter inch adult zebra mussels. They were called to the lake to investigate zebra mussel larvae, but found the adult mussels near the shoreline.

Zebra mussels were also found in Otter Tail County's East Spirit Lake recently.
