The Twins lost 6-5 at home against the New York Yankees Friday afternoon.on the 4th of July.  Kyle Gibson struggled allowing 6 hits and 6 runs (5 earned) in just 2 innings to take the loss and drop to 7-7.  Chris Colabello and Brian Dozier each hit solo homeruns for the Twins and Kendrys Morales was 2-4 with a run scored.  Both Kurt Suzuki and Sam Fuld each had 2 hits for Minnesota.

The Twins fall to 38-47 and are sitting in last place in the American League Central Division standings, 11 games back of the Tigers.  The Twins will host the Yankees today at 1:10, pregame on WJON at 12:40.  Righthander Ricky Nolasco (5-6) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and righthander Hiroki Kuroda (5-6) toes the rubber for the Yankees.
