The Yankees continued to present an insurmountable challenge to the Minnesota Twins Friday night in a 2-0 win at Yankee Stadium. The Twins have now lost twelve of their last 13 games.

Minnesota actually outhit New York 8-6 in the game, but stranded ten runners on base and were 0-9 in the batter's box with runners in scoring position.

There was a lengthy rain delay in the fourth inning, limiting Scott Diamond's start for the Twins. He was replaced by Ryan Pressly, who gave up both runs in one inning of work.

The Twins and Yankees will play a matinee Saturday at Yankee Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
