The Twins lost 6-4 in New York to the Yankees making up for a previous rain-out.  Mariano Rivera recorded the save for the Yankees and he becomes the all-time saves leader in Major League History with 602.  He breaks a tie with Trevor Hoffman.  The Twins have lost 9 straight games and 14 of their last 15.  Chris Parmelee had 2 hits including a solo homerun for the Twins and Michael Cuddyer knocked out a 2-run homerun for Minnesota.

Ben Revere chipped in 3 hits for the Twins.  Scott Diamond allowed 10 hits and 5 earned runs to take the loss for the Twins.  Minnesota is 59-93 and will host Seattle tonight beginning a 3-game series at 7:10, pregame on WJON at 6:40.  Righthander Liam Hendriks (0-2) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and lefthander Jason Vargas (8-13) toes the rubber for the Mariners.
