Wright County Sheriff’s Office Responds to Pair of Incidents at Burger Kings

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two separate incidents at Burger King Restaurants on Thursday.

The first incident occurred at the Clearwater Burger King at 945 Ash Street at 12:43 a.m.

An employee was leaving the store in their vehicle, when a male dressed in all black approached the vehicle and tapped the window with a handgun. The employee fled the scene, a search in the area didn’t locate a suspect.

The Burger King in Monticello at 200 7th Street East was also robbed at 5:18 a.m. on Thursday.

A white male wearing all black clothing and a ski mask approached an employee as they opened the store. The suspect revealed a handgun and forced the employee into the store and took an undetermined amount of money.

The area was checked for suspects, with no results.

Both incidents remain under investigation. Anyone with information may call the Wright County Sheriff’s Office at (763)-682-1162
