MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Fire officials say two workers were rescued after scaffolding broke outside a downtown Minneapolis tower.

The workers were more than 50 floors high at the Wells Fargo Center.

The Minneapolis Fire Department says the scaffolding broke loose on the 53rd floor Wednesday afternoon. According to a tweet from the fire department, the workers were brought in through a window on the 50th floor. Both workers are OK and did not need medical attention.

Streets below were blocked off during the rescue. Firefighters are clearing the scene.
