Work Crews Try to Get Paving Work in Cold Spring Done Between Rain Showers

COLD SPRING -- Heavy rains has delayed the start of paving operations on Stearns County Road 2 in Cold Spring. But, crews are hoping to begin laying down the new surface tomorrow (Friday).

Workers are pumping water out of the reconstructed area north of Highway 23 today (Thursday) and could begin paving along that section tomorrow (Friday).

Meanwhile, crews are milling off the old pavement along County Road 2 south of Highway 23 today (Thursday) in hopes it, too, can be paved tomorrow (Friday).

The final lift of pavement is then tentatively scheduled to begin Monday.
