Woodbury Police Say Man Fatally Beat Wife, Killed Himself

WOODBURY (AP) - Woodbury police say a man fatally beat his elderly wife, then killed himself.

Preliminary autopsy results show 85-year-old Beverly Miller died of blunt force trauma to her head. Investigators say her 72-year-old husband, James Miller, caused that trauma and then hanged himself.

The Millers, married 40 years, were found dead last Friday after neighbors noticed newspapers piling up on the doorstep of their Woodbury townhome.
