Women Jailed After Domestic Assault Call

ST. CLOUD -- Two women were jailed just days apart for the same domestic assault incident.

St. Cloud Police were called to the 300 block of Laudenbach Court at about 5:45 Saturday morning on a domestic assault call. Police say a fight between 23-year-old Akesha Hall and 24-year-old Katie Bennett escalated to the point where Bennett threw a glass object and hit Hall above the eye. The wound required several stitches.

Police learned that Bennett had an Order for Protection against Hall, who was treated for her injuries then arrested.

Officers caught up with Bennett as part of their extra enforcement patrols in downtown St. Cloud early Sunday. Police jailed Bennett on suspicion of second degree assault and domestic assault.
