Woman Stabbed In Waite Park

A 46 year old Woman was taken to Saint Cloud Hospital Saturday morning after she was found in a Waite Park parking lot with numerous stab wounds.

Waite Park Police responded to the scene at 110-15th Avenue North just before 8am. Her condition was not immediately known.
A suspect in the case, 43-year old Joseph Edward Benson of Waite Park had left the scene but later turned himself in at the Saint Cloud Police Department. Benson had also cut himself during the assault and was also taken to the hospital.

Benson was later released and arrested for 1st degree assault and taken to Stearns County Jail.
