Woman Rescued from Nowthen House Fire Dies

Minnesota NewsNOWTHEN  (AP) – A 64-year-old woman rescued from a Nowthen house fire two months ago has died.

According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s office, Diann Evans died Saturday from complications of the fire.

Michael Coolidge was on his way to work early Sept. 23 and noticed the fire. He smashed a window and pulled Evans from the home. She had first-, second- and third-degree burns.

The Anoka County sheriff’s office honored Coolidge and Mark Poce, who called 911, with the Citizen Award of Honor Oct. 15.
