Woman Hurt While Crossing Street Illegally

ST. CLOUD -- A 20-year-old St. Cloud woman was hurt while crossing a St. Cloud street this morning. It happened at the intersection of 4th Avenue and 12th Street South at 9:25 a.m.

Police say Alyssa Bergstadt was crossing 4th Avenue illegally when she was struck by a car. The driver, 45-year-old Elana Dugan of Sauk Rapids was not cited.

Police say Bergstadt's illegal crossing and Dugan's inattentive driving were factors in the accident.

Bergstadt wasn't cited either, but was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
