BALDWIN TOWNSHIP –  A woman had her car stolen after she stopped on the road to help a stranger on Wednesday night.

The incident happened at 10:45 p.m. in the area of 317th Avenue Northwest and 120th Street Northwest in Baldwin Township, south of the city of Princeton. Sheriff Joel Brott says deputies received a call of a car that was stolen from a woman on County Road 2.

Deputies learned that the suspect was lying on the shoulder of the road with a bike on top of him. When the woman stopped to try and help, the suspect allegedly ran to the victim’s car and started to drive away.
