BALDWIN TOWNSHIP -  A woman had her car stolen after she stopped on the road to help a stranger on Wednesday night.

The incident happened at 10:45 p.m. in the area of 317th Avenue Northwest and 120th Street Northwest in Baldwin Township, south of the city of Princeton. Sheriff Joel Brott says deputies received a call of a car that was stolen from a woman on County Road 2.

Deputies learned that the suspect was lying on the shoulder of the road with a bike on top of him. When the woman stopped to try and help, the suspect allegedly ran to the victim's car and started to drive away. The victim suffered minor injuries when she tried to stop the suspect and was pushed from the moving car.

The suspect is described as a white man in his early 20's with black hair, 5 foot 8, between 160-180 pounds and having no shirt and black pants. The stolen car is a 2001 Silver 2-door Pontiac Grand Am with a Minnesota license plate XNE531.
