Woman Found Dead in South Minneapolis Alley

MINNEAPOLIS -- Minneapolis police say a woman was found dead in an alley.

Officers were called early today (Saturday) and found the woman's body in an alley in south Minneapolis.

The name of the woman was not immediately released. The Hennepin County medical examiner's office will release her name as well as the cause of her death.

Police are increasing patrols in the area where the woman's body was found.
