Woman Fatally Shot Was Law Firm Partner

SHOREVIEW (AP) - Colleagues at a Minneapolis law firm say their thoughts and prayers are with the family of Nancy Sullivan. She was shot and killed in Shoreview as she was moving out of a house she shared with her boyfriend, identified by neighbors as John Simpson.

Ramsey County sheriff's officials have not identified those involved in Tuesday's shooting, but say the woman and man who shared the house are dead and a male and female are wounded. Authorities say the man who died is the only suspected shooter.

Neighbor Roger Menk says the wounded woman is Sullivan's daughter and the wounded man is the daughter's boyfriend.

Sullivan was a partner at the Barnes & Thornburg law firm. Managing partner Peter Ekberg says Sullivan was an exceptional lawyer and a wonderful person who will be missed greatly.
