MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minneapolis fire department says a woman and dog have died following a late-night fire.

Reports say firefighters were called to a house fire Friday about 10:15 p.m. They extinguished the blaze and found the lone occupant unresponsive.

Authorities say 50-year-old Kelly Ann Dugan died of smoke inhalation Friday night.

The medical examiner says the manner of Dugan's death is still under investigation.

Authorities say a dog also died in the fire.
