CALEDONIA, Minn. (AP) - Authorities in southeastern Minnesota say a fire broke out in a rural trailer park early Christmas morning, leaving one woman dead and two homes destroyed.

The Caledonia volunteer fire department in Houston County was called to a trailer park Wednesday just after 1 a.m. Fire Chief Chuck Gavin says firefighters arrived to find one home fully engulfed, and the wind had blown the flames onto the second home.

Neighbors had already helped residents of the second home evacuate. The woman who died lived in the first home.

Gavin says the cause of the fire is still being determined, but investigators suspect a possible electrical issue in the woman's home

He also says the fire could easily have spread to other homes if it had taken any longer to report.
