Cushing Woman Killed After Head-On Crash in Morrison County

MORRISON COUNTY - A woman is dead after a head-on collision that happened in Morrison County on Wednesday afternoon.

The Morrison County Sheriff's Office says a car driven by 46-year-old Paul Baron of Browerville was traveling north on 10th Avenue. He tried to pass another vehicle and struck a car head-on, driven by 62-year-old Karen Larson of Cushing, which was traveling south.

Larson was trapped in the vehicle with serious injuries, she was eventually removed and airlifted to the St. Cloud emergency trauma center, where she later died.

Baron has minor injuries from the crash, he was treated and released at the scene.

The incident happened just after 2:30 p.m. in Culdrum Township. The Morrison County Sheriff's Office was helped at the scene by the Todd County Sheriff's Office, Minnesota State Patrol, Swanville Fire Department/Response Team, Life Link III and Gold Cross Ambulance.
