Woman Charged with Arranging Husband’s Beating

Police TapeMANKATO (AP) – A Mankato woman is charged with arranging the beating of her husband by two men with aluminum baseball bats.

Prosecutors say 24-year-old Ashley Stillwell had an argument with her husband over bills on Jan. 8, left the house and returned with the two men.

A criminal complaint says the men struck Gary Stillwell several times with the bats in front of his children. Investigators say one of the children confirmed their father was attacked by men with bats. Ashley Stillwell is charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.

No others have currently been charged in the case.
