Woman Accused of Vehicular Homicide in Fatal Crash
CARLTON (AP) - A woman who prosecutors say admitted drinking before a fatal crash in Carlton County is charged with vehicular homicide.
Thirty-four-year-old Kari Renee Luoma was killed and her husband, Jeremiah Luoma, was seriously injured when their vehicle was struck at an intersection in Thomson Township Saturday.
Authorities say 25-year-old Megan Dickenson was driving the car that struck the Luomas' vehicle. A criminal complaint says Dickenson told investigators she had been drinking at a bar in Scanlon before the crash.
Dickenson was arrested Monday after she was released from a hospital.
