The Timberwolves trailed late against New Orleans but made a stunning comeback in the last minute for the win. 

The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the New Orleans Hornets 97-95 Sunday night at Target Center. The Wolves trailed by four points with just 1:00 left in the game but finished on a 6-0 run for the win.

Ricky Rubio's three-point play for Minnesota (23-41) on a layup made the score 95-94 in favor of the Hornets (22-45). After a Rubio rebound of a missed shot by New Orleans, Nikola Pekovic was fouled and made both free throws for a one point Wolves lead.

Andrei Kirilenko came through with a blocked shot on the defensive end of the court and was fouled. He connected on one of two free throws with five seconds left in the game, then blocked the Hornets attempt at a three point buzzer beater.

The Wolves were led by Derrick Williams with 28 points.
