DENVER, Co. -- The Minnesota Timberwolves played hard, but were ultimately overmatched in multiple phases by the Denver Nuggets in last night's 106-102 loss.

Minnesota continues their year-long struggle to defend in the post and hit from beyond the three-point arc.

Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried posted a monster game - finishing with 26 points and 25 rebounds.

Center Timofey Mozgov added 14 rebounds of his own for the Nuggets who out-rebounded Minnesota 62-44.

The Wolves were led by forward Thaddeus Young and rookie Andrew Wiggins who scored 23 and 22 points, respectively.

Shabazz Muhammad added 14 points and hit two of the only three Timberwolves' three pointers made for the game.

With the loss, the Wolves fall to 5-23 on the season and will have a tough matchup against the 23-5 Golden State Warriors tonight in Oakland.
