WJON’s Dick Nelson Receives Quilt of Valor for Military Service [VIDEO]

ST. CLOUD -- WJON's Dick Nelson got a surprise as he came into the station today on Veterans Day.

Nelson regularly has area volunteer coordinators on his Drive Time at Five show and they awarded him a Quilt of Valor for his service in the National Guard.

Coordinators Jenny Zimmer, Jen Lahmann and Kim Salitros awarded the quilt to Nelson in the front lobby of Townsquare Media.

The Quilts of Valor Foundation began in 2003 by a mother trying to ease the pain associated with her veteran son's PTSD.
