BOY DIES -- A 12-year-old boy -- hit by a car while walking across Highway 169 in Elk River -- has now died. Ian Kniseley was hit Sunday night and later died at HCMC.

 

EDEN VALLEY CRASH -- A deadly crash east of Eden Valley Tuesday night when a car blew through a stop sign and crashed with a van, killing the van driver. 75-year-old Florance Deheer of Watkins, dead at the scene.

 

SEMI SIDESWIPE -- A Foley man, hurt when his car sideswiped an oncoming semi-truck in Gilman this afternoon. 33-year-old John Kelash -- taken to the hospital.

 

WAFFLE-IT CLOSES -- Days after opening at a new location, Waffle-It has temporarily closed. The city, forcing the breakfast place to close while they're working to resolve a ventilation system issue at their location in the Centennial Plaza on Veterans Drive.

 

ST. JOE DOG PARK -- A new dog park, open at St. Joseph's Millstream Park. The large open area is designed to accommodate dogs of all sizes. If it's popular, there could be more amenities and a separate fenced-in area for just smaller dogs.

 

TAKE BACK THE NIGHT RALLY -- A rally Thursday night at St. Cloud State marking "Take Back the Night." The event supports women who have been assaulted. Starts at 6:30 Thursday night at Lake George.

 

BAKERY DAY -- Thursday is National Bakery Day and some local bakeries are observing the day with special events and promotions. There are fewer and fewer standalone bakeries around these days with more supermarket style of baking.
