WINTRY WEATHER -- Across Central Minnesota, a winter weather advisory through early Saturday morning. 3-to-4-inches of snow in St. Cloud, Alexandria, Brainerd and Hinckley.

 

DEER SEASON -- Across Minnesota, thousands of hunters are getting ready for the start of firearm deer season Saturday morning. The DNR says there are fewer hunters overall, but a rising number of female hunters.

 

HUNTER'S DEATH -- In Little Falls, the sheriff says a 30-30 rifle that belonged to a Little Falls hunter found dead a year ago was the weapon that killed him. Police continue to search for Terrance Brisk's killer.

 

CIGARETTE ORDINANCE -- In St. Cloud, the city council Monday holds a public hearing on whether to raise the tobacco purchasing age to 21.

 

ROCORI VOTE -- In the ROCORI School District, voters Tuesday will decide on a levy to pay for technology upgrades over 10 years. Quarter-million a year.

 

SCHOOL SURVEYS -- In the Sauk Rapids-Rice school district, residents will be surveyed on why they voted down a referendum last spring. The results will help guide the district forward.

 

TATTOO CONVENTION -- In St. Cloud, a big tattoo convention this weekend at the Convention Center. Over 100 artists there and tickets at the door.

 

SUPER BOWL RINGS -- At St. Cloud State, the Jostens company, showing-off the 33 Super Bowl rings they've made throughout the years. Replica rings on display through Sunday night.

 

VETERANS PARADE -- At the VA Hospital in St. Cloud, a parade at 1 pm Sunday, observing Veterans Day.

 

SHOPKO - THANKSGIVING -- In St. Cloud, add Shopko to the list of retailers who WILL be open on Thanksgiving Day this year. They'll open at 4 Thanksgiving afternoon.
