SUSPECT ARRESTED -- Police have arrested a man wanted on criminal vehicular homicide charge in Sherburne County. 36-year-old Juan Garcia-Morales, arrested in New Brighton with drugs and a handgun on him.

 

SEX OFFENDERS MEETING -- St. Cloud Police are holding a community notification meeting to tell area residents about two sex offenders moving to St. Cloud. That meeting is Monday, May 15th at the St. Cloud Police Headquarters. One is moving into the 200 block of 11th Avenue North. The other -- the 100 block of 16th Avenue North.

 

EXPOSER CHARGED AGAIN -- A Waite Park man -- with at least 10 similar convictions already -- faces more charges of exposing himself to women. 30-year-old Derek George is now charged with recent incidents at Kohl's department store and outside a woman's apartment window.

 

ELK RIVER CRASH -- A chain reaction crash on Highway 169 in Elk River sent four people to the hospital. A van rear-ended a car stopped at a red light. Then an SUV hit the van from behind. People from Onamia, Robbinsdale, Maple Grove and Duluth were hurt in Friday morning's crash.

 

MOTORCYCLIST HURT -- A motorcyclist was riding south on 169 in Elk River when he was hit by some sort of debris. 54-year-old Frank Ronning of Zimmerman lost control and went into the center ditch. Taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

 

NO STEARNS COUNTY MEASLES -- Turns out, there wasn't a case of measles in Stearns County after all. Further tests confirm the suspected measles case, wasn't. State Health officials say they erred on the side of caution in announcing the illness was in the St. Cloud area. Meanwhile, there ARE 41 confirmed cases of measles, mostly in the Twin Cities.

 

CIDER SAMPLING ROOM -- A Cold Spring cider-making business is expanding. Milk and Honey Cider, breaking ground on a new sampling room in St. Joseph.

 

RELAY FOR LIFE BEER -- The Urban Lodge Brewery and Restaurant and Sauk Rapids has brewed a special beer for charity. The "Babes and Dreams" beer will benefit St. Cloud American Cancer Society's Relay for Life coming up in June.

 

FREE COMIC BOOK DAY -- Granite City Comics and Games is getting ready for Free Comic Book Day on Saturday. The downtown comic book store will be handing out 52 different titles.
