WAITE PARK SHOOTING -- Charges for 54-year-old Herbert Campbell of St. Cloud -- accused in that shooting in Waite Park Monday. Campbell faces second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault with a deadly weapon. Police say the victim's expected to survive.

 

MALL STABBING HONORS -- High honors last night for Waite Park emergency responders to the Crossroads Mall stabbing last fall. St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis, giving the five officers and three firefighters certificates of appreciation.

 

RIVERWALK OPTIONS -- Lots of options under consideration for St. Cloud's proposed Riverwalk connecting the Beaver Island Trail to Hester Park. Among the options moving forward -- a canoe launch, splash pad, ice skating rink, restaurant and beer garden.

 

CIGARETTE TAX BILL -- State House Republicans are offering a tax cut proposal that would freeze state taxes on cigarettes -- and eliminate scheduled increases. The State house speaker calling cigarette tax increases "a tax on low-income Minnesotans."

 

MICHAEL'S RESTAURANT CLOSING -- And after more than 20 years in business, Michael's Restaurant on Highway 10 in St. Cloud is closing at the end of the month. The Minnesota Fishing Museum and Hall of Fame in Little Falls will soon open a bingo hall in that space.
