CAR RACE FATAL -- A fatal car crash at B-I-R. A 70-year-old New Jersey man, crashing his sports car during a race at Brainerd International Raceway.

 

JET SKI CRASH -- A teenager was taken to the hospital with injuries after crashing her jet ski Saturday on Lake Koronis in Paynesville. 17-year-old Makayla Lothert of Redwood Falls, hit a pontoon, boat lift and dock before she was thrown. Moderate injuries.

 

PICKUP FIRE -- Two people escaped from a pick-up that caught fire northeast of St. Joseph early Saturday morning. Nobody was hurt, but the truck went up in flames.

 

ROSCOE CRASH -- A Saturday morning car crash west of Richmond send 18-year-old Rory Rivas to the hospital. State troopers say he was on Highway 23, lost control, crossed the lane and hit a tree.

 

ZEBRA MUSSELS - ANNANDALE -- You can add Cedar Lake near Annandale to the list of lakes infected with the zebra mussel. The invasive species found on a stick in three feet of water at a public access.

 

SUNDAY LIQUOR SALES -- Did you HAVE to go to the liquor store yesterday -- just to say you bought booze on the first day of Sunday liquor sales in Minnesota in 159 years? Lots of us did.

 

LIGHT RAIL BACK ON THE RAILS -- ALL ABOARD! The blue and green line trains are again cruising through Minneapolis. They were shut down since June 22nd for construction.That on top of other road repairs and the shutdown on the I-94 Lowry Tunnel, has made travel in Minneapolis challenging.
