FIRE-STANDOFF -- Police say what started as a house fire in Big Lake escalated to a stand-off with an armed man who shot himself. While fire crews were trying to put out a fire at a Big Lake Township home, they noticed a man in the backyard with a handgun warning them to leave. Police tried to negotiate, but two hours into it, the man shot himself. His injuries -- life-threatening. And the home was destroyed.

MISSING STUDENT -- The medical examiner's office says the body pulled from the Mississippi Friday night was indeed that of missing SCSU student Jesse Dady. Police believe Dady may have been trying to cross the river on a railroad bridge when he fell into the river early on March 25th.

DRY WEATHER CONTINUES -- It looks like a dry week ahead for Central Minnesota although, rain is forecast the further into southeastern Minnesota you go.

LUMBERJACKS WIN -- The Granite City Lumberjacks beat the Metro Jets 2-1 Sunday afternoon to capture the Silver Cup trophy as national champions of the NA3HL. The win gives the Lumberjacks the Silver Cup for the third time in team history.

LEAST STRESSED STATE -- AND the website Wallet Hub ranks Minnesota as the number one less stressed state in the union. They base that on things like high credit scores, low divorce rates, lowest percentage of adults in fair/poor health, and the most average hours of sleep per night.
