Here's a WJON FlashBriefing for July 5, 2017.

SEVERE WEATHER -- Be sky aware over the next couple of days. Strong storms are expected across Central Minnesota this afternoon and evening -- maybe large hail and damaging winds. By Thursday, the risk for severe stuff moves more into Wisconsin -- again large hail and damaging winds, but maybe tornadoes, too. Stay tuned.

MILLE LACS FISHING -- The DNR is closing the walleye season on Lake Mille Lacs. Walleye fishing has been under catch-and-release all season. But starting Friday night, you won't be able to fish for walleyes AT ALL, until July 28th. The DNR says the moratorium is to protect fish from "hook mortality" in the warmer water and high fishing pressure.

WRONG WAY CRASH -- A car going the wrong way on Highway 10 in Little Falls Township's blamed for causing a motorcycle to crash into the back of a van. Two people from Bowlus on the cycle were taken to the Little Falls hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

MOTORCYCLE-DEER CRASH -- Another motorcycle injury. This time a cyclist in Morrison County's Richardson Township hit a deer with his motorcycle. Unknown injuries for the rider.

UFF-DA RECORDS MOVES -- A new used record store is moving to a new location. Uff-Da Records is leaving Crossroads Center. Relocating to a larger space in a St. Cloud strip mall at 80 33rd Avenue South.

MOTORCYCLE BENEFIT -- Mike Spaude is riding his motorcycle for 18 days -- over 10-thousand miles -- across the continental US. He's raising money for the Eagle's Healing Nest, a non-profit out of Sauk Centre that helps veterans with mental health issues.

HOLDINGFORD PLAYGROUND -- Holdingford's looking for volunteers and tools to help build their new Dream Catcher Two playground. August 14th through the 19th.
